Russian Black Terriers

Jan first set eyes on a Russian Black Terrier at the World Winners Show in Amsterdam in 1986.RBTAmsterdam1986-2See here an RBT shown untrimmed at that show.We have had the pleasure of owning Russian Black Terriers for 11 years. Our first bitch,Lisander Zingara with Shadlian “Rio”, Keith collected from Marco Galli in Italy in December 1998.She came to us using the “Balai Directive” thus avoiding the need for quarantine. This was prior to the instigation of the pet passport system.Sadly Rio passed away in April 2009 at 12 years old.

At the same time in December 1998 our first male,Trident’s Epi-center with Shadlian “Richter” emerged from quarantine  (Balai Directive did not apply outside Europe) having travelled six months earlier from Anna Carson’s Trident kennel in San Francisco,California. He and Rio went on to produce beautiful puppies with super temperaments,a trend Rio continued with a couple of new boy friends later on.See Richter and Rio Below.RioRic1

We still have her daughter Stolie (Shadlian Silver Dollar) born 22/11/2002 whose father Moskvorechie Antey “Gigi” (below)MarcoGigiwas running with puppy Rio when she was collected from the Lisander Kennel back in 1998.Stolie has produced beautiful puppies for us one of which (Mischa) went to live in Bermuda in 2008 with Clifford Roberts and his family.A work colleague and friend,Clinard Burgess, fell in love with her and so in 2009 we sent a puppy “Shocka” to live with him and his family.jeeves0001RioPup10wF

Hi. I’m interested in getting a Russian terrier puppy, so I was just wondering if you have planned to have them in the near future. Regards, Zane

Amazing quality. Do you place endorsements on your litters? I’m considering doing.
